Highlander recently reached an important milestone – we recently refurbished and sited our 40th skip since we introduced the service only 9 short months ago! These skips have been sited all over the central belt of Scotland for items such as waste cardboard, confidential waste, printers waste paper and more! With other new accounts on the go, we predict to hit our 50th skip by the start of next year.
Stephen Duffy commented: “We had reservations about buying a hook-lift truck and containers given it would have been a minimum £100,000 investment however the response from the local area has been unbelievable and we now have 40 skips on customer sites with a handful on the premises for change-overs. We are just about to order 3 brand new containers bringing us up to 43 and have 5 for refurbished in the yard to 48 – at this rate we should easily be 60 before the end of quarter one next year and our aim is to have 100 sited by the end of 2016.”
