Local MP checks out Highlander!
Local MP for East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow, Dr Lisa Cameron, recently popped into Highlander to check out the company and learn more about paper recycling and our amazing growth in the last few years, however this was a visit with a wee twist! Highlander Director Brian Bingham already knew Lisa from many years back as he stayed in the same building as Lisa’s Gran! A fun, but informative afternoon was had by all and Lisa was genuinely excited by what we have achieved so far, the employment we have brought to the East Kilbride area as we employ over 50% of our staff from within 5 miles of the depot and of the exciting growth plans we have for 2018 where we have already signed up 4 major new contracts, resigned our largest customer on a long-term contract AND aim to be collecting an processing 1000 tons every week by the end of 2018!
