Everyone at Highlander would like to say a huge congratulations to our international marketing agent, Awais (Dani) who is getting married in Pakistan in February. Awais has worked with Highlander for many years and he is 3rd generation to his family’s paper converting business, to which we supply waste paper.
Awais is marrying his beautiful bride Saffana in Lahore, and the 3 day celebration starts on 27th February with a Mehndi Party, which is a get together for the bride and groom’s close friends and family to meet and get to know each other. Around 300 guests will attend what is sure to be a colourful day with beautiful clothing, music, including the traditional Dhol and bhangra dancing. The next day, 300 guests have been invited to the Barat, which is where the bride’s family have invited the grooms close family and friends to the main wedding ceremony, where the marriage certificate is signed. Then, on the 3rd day, Awais and Saffana have invited all of their family and friends (1000 guests) to a wedding feast, called a Walima.
Out of the 1000 guests, 600 work within the waste paper industry! Brian and Mags are travelling to Lahore to attend the wedding and will also be able to see some of our own waste paper being processed.
Awais and Saffana, we all wish you the very best in your life together!
