Collected confidential material is directly and securely transported to our dedicated and fully secure destruction centre and all operations meet the standard of EN15713. The site is monitored by 14 CCTV cameras with the option for customers to personally view the shredding process at our specially designed, mezzanine viewing area!

is it safe to shred ?

Yes, all employees sign a “deed of confidentiality” which is a binding guarantee that all customer data and documents will be collected and shredded without any loss or exposure.

what is the quality level?

Highlander operate a quality management system to the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001. The scope of these systems includes assessment to the requirements of EN15713, which is the quality standard for the collection, handling and shredding of confidential waste. do i need to send/deliver documents to shred?

No, we have collection staff available who are fully uniformed with Identification badges and all vehicles are locked at all times during the collection and transportation process. Collection trucks are alarmed and fitted with a GPS tracker system, allowing us to know the precise location of customer confidential waste at all times! We provide a certificate of destruction for each and every consignment we receive as your guarantee the material has been destroyed and will be despatched for recycling to EN643 standards!

are you working with UKSSA ?

Yes, Highlander is full, accredited members, of the United Kingdom Security Shredding Association (UKSSA) which requires the completion of a rigorous independent audit. UKSSA membership provides peace of mind to companies who have a legal requirement to dispose of confidential waste paper under the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR and want to ensure they receive a professional, diligent, GDPR compliant and secure service from collection to shredding, to the paperwork and audit trail.
